Your Dream Hamptons Bachelorette Party

Your Go-To Hamptons Bachelorette Party Guide: How to Have the Ultimate Bachelorette in the Hamptons

If you're a bride who loves the ocean, hanging out on the beach with your girls whilst drinking rosé, and who loves to be a bit bougie (who doesn't?!), then the Hamptons is a perfect bachelorette party location for you.

The Hamptons is a popular summer destination amongst NYC city dwellers, and has definitely gotten the attention of brides wanting to host their bachelorette parties at this locale over the last couple of years - likely due to the increasing influencer presence flocking to these charming villages on the coast of the Atlantic ocean.

There are multiple ways that you can spend your bachelorette party weekend in the Hamptons depending on how much money you and your girls want to be spending. Whether you're ballin' on a budget or throwing down your Platinum AMEX - here are some options for you to have an unforgettable experience on your ultimate Hamptons bachelorette party.

Where to Stay in the Hamptons

If you're not versed on the geography of the Hamptons, it may come as a shock to you that the 'Hamptons' is actually a collection of numerous towns/villages along the South Fork of Long Island (not to be confused with the North Fork, which is significantly less popular for tourists), in the following geographical order: Hamptons Bay (we know - debatable), Southhampton, Bridgehampton, Sagaponack, Wainscott, Sag Harbor, East Hampton, Amangansett, and on the very eastern end - Montauk.

Where you should stay is ultimately going to depend on your itinerary and the places that you want to visit. Our suggestion would be to rent an Airbnb somewhere between Sagaponack and Amagansett, so that you're able to easily drive to places like Sag Harbor and East Hampton.

It's about a 45 minute to a 1 hour drive to Montauk from this general area, so be sure to keep that in mind if you're wanting to spend a day in Montauk or eat at any of the delicious restaurants that Montauk has to offer. Be warned - traffic in the Hamptons can be pretty brutal, and if you're relying on Uber to get around, make sure you factor in those additional Uber charges.

Pro tip: if you're staying anywhere near Wainscott, be sure to check out the Seafood Shop for the freshest fish on the coast.

That said, if you're all about the beach and aren't necessarily interested in popping into those towns, Montauk is the perfect place for you to rent an Airbnb. In Montauk, you have easy access to a ton of popular restaurants, bars, and the brewery, along with beautiful beaches, and almost guaranteed celebrity sightings, so you'll definitely be able to keep busy.

Depending on the exact location of your Airbnb, you may find that you're located close to historic sites such as the Montauk Lighthouse, which you should definitely hit up while you're in the Hamptons for some breathtaking views.

How to Get to the Hamptons

By Car

"Unlike the rest of us, sex lies and scandal never take a vacation. Instead, they take the Long Island Expressway and head east, to the Hamptons." Need we say more?

In all seriousness, if you're driving from New York, it will take approximately three hours once you've left Manhattan to get to the Hamptons, depending on which town you're staying in. Note that traffic can get particularly heavy, especially during long weekends, so be prepared to SIT. That said though, if you have a fairly large group, renting a large car or sprinter van may be the best option for your bachelorette getaway, so that all the girls can travel together.

By Train

Long Island Rail Road runs year-round from New York to the Hamptons and Montauk. This is a budget-friendly option that takes about three hours. Just make sure you know which stop in the Hamptons you're getting off at!

By Bus

The "Jitney" is one of the most popular ways that NYC locals travel to the Hamptons. They are privately run busses that range in the level of luxury and service provided, from the basic "Hamptons Jitney" to the Hamptons Ambassador.

By Helicopter

If your group is leaning into the luxury lifestyle of the Hamptons, then a private charter via helicopter to the Hamptons will make the most sense for you (and save you quite a bit of time!). Alternatively, the company Blade (aka Uber Helicopter) schedules a couple of flights per week to East Hampton from NYC. Keep in mind though that if you're travelling by helicopter, your luggage weight will be heavily restricted, which isn't always the best option for a bachelorette party group! As well, helicopters usually take up to four guests maximum, which may not be ideal if you have a larger bachelorette party group.

What to Do in the Hamptons

Whether your preference is to get lit with some daytime drinking at a wine tasting tour, keep it laid back and hang out on a private beach, or indulge in relaxing spa treatments with your closest friends, the Hamptons has all of this to offer, and more.

Local Attractions

An absolute must while you're on your Hamptons bachelorette party is to check out all of the pristine beaches that the Hamptons offers.

Cooper's Beach

Cooper's Beach is in Southhampton, and is rated on of the best beaches in all of North America! You can rent a beach umbrella and chairs, but be sure to bring your own beach towels.

Sunset Beach

If you're wanting to venture out to Shelter Island, then Sunset Beach is the ideal destination for you. Locals say its one of the hidden gems of the Hamptons, and is the perfect place to have a chill beach day with your girls. Sunset Beach Hotel has a gorgeous restaurant, and is also an ideal setting to watch the sunset.

Have a Boat Day

If you're looking for a fun activity for the ultimate Hamptons Bachelorette party, then get ready to set sail on the crystal clear waters of the Atlantic!

An excellent Hamptons boat rental option is Yacht Hampton Boat Rental. They own over 25 boats to accommodate a range of budgets, and market the entire experience specifically to bachelorette parties, which you can read more about here.

Take stunning AF photos on your boat day in the Marilyn One Piece in Ivory. Paired with the Audrey Sleeves, you're going to be the chicest bride the Atlantic ever did see! With your bridesmaids in the Celine One Piece in Midnight, your entire group is going to be looking and feeling their best.

Wine Tastings

The Hamptons is home to a number of wineries, most notably - Wölffer Estate Vineyard, Channing Daughters Winery, and Duck Walk Winery.

If you're a bachelorette group wanting to go wine tasting, be cognizant that some of these wineries do NOT want bachelorette groups frequenting their establishment, such as Wölffer Estate. This is likely because they don't want any paraphernalia or the like, so i'm sure if your group kept it classy, it wouldn't be an issue.

Workout

We know we know - working out on a bachelorette party weekend isn't always at the top of the "to-do" list. That said, the Hamptons has an extensive selection of workout options aren't necessarily your typical Barry's workout class (though there is a Barry's in Southhampton or Wainscott that you can hit up if you're feeling like a HIIT workout).

Workout at Barry's in the Hamptons

With the backdrop of the Atlantic and its beautiful greenery and colorful hydrangeas, the Hamptons are the perfect spot for outdoor workouts, such as horseback riding, pickleball, or tennis. If you're really lucky, your Airbnb might even come equipped with tennis courts!

Alternatively, organize an outdoor yoga class on one of the beautiful beaches for the group to help sweat out last night's cocktails. The beach is the perfect spot for a workout, so that you can follow it up with a cold plunge and get right back to shenanigans of the weekend.

Where to Eat and Drink in the Hamptons

Calissa - Bachelorette Dinner Package

Calissa is a Greek restaurant inspired by the party of Mykonos - and they really hit the nail on the head. Come for the food and stay for the vibes, because they know how to party (and eat) here.

Calissa used to offer a Bachelorette Dinner Package that they have since rebranded to a "Large Party and Bottomless Wine Package" (we love that...), so if you opt for that option, you know you're going to be in for a memorable night. They usually have live entertainment on the weekends, so be sure to buy tickets and make your reservations well in advance.

If you want a similar experience but for brunch, Calissa also offers a "Brunch and Wine" package that includes prosecco, mimosas, belinis, and rosé, all unlimited for a two hour period while you brunch. If this isn't tailored perfectly for bachelorette parties - we don't know what is.

Duryea's

Duryea's is Montauk's top waterfront dining spot, known for their fresh seafood and their lobster roll lunch. The scene definitely comes with a price tag, but the gorgeous views and delicious food is definitely worth it if you're looking to have a "splurge" dinner.

The Crow's Nest

The Crow's Nest is the perfect spot for your group to go for pre-dinner cocktails. This restaurant is often frequented by celebrities, so make sure you're on the lookout (last time we were there, Neil Patrick Harris was there with his children!). They have a large, grassy lawn that goes right down to the water. This area is specifically for cocktails and they do not take reservations, but you're welcome to grab a drink and stand to watch the sunset over the east coast.

Montauk Brewing Company

Montauk Brewing Company is located right by Fort Pond and is the perfect afternoon activity if your group is looking to do something semi-low key while also getting out of the house. The vibes are high and the beer is great - you really can't go wrong.

Where to Party in the Hamptons

Though not necessarily known for its vibrant nightlife, the bar scene has definitely become increasingly popular alongside the overall popularity of the Hamptons as a bachelorette party and overall summer getaway destination. If you're looking to create some unforgettable memories (that you may not remember...), make sure to check out these places on your Hamptons bachelorette party:

The Surf Lodge

Arguably the most popular spot to party on the weekend in the Hamptons. Some would even say that your Hamptons bachelorette party would not be complete without bottle service at the Suff Lodge (of course, if that's your vibe).

Bottle Service at Surf Lodge, Montauk

This iconic Montauk establishment is an outdoor bar/restaurant with a large patio that often hosts live music. With the backdrop of the beach, a gorgeous sunset, and popular DJ's like John Summit - you're in for a vibrant atmosphere.

Make sure to book a table right on the patio so that you're in the thick of it's vibrant nightlife, instead of on the beach. The beach area is located behind the DJ, so it definitely doesn't give the same vibes as the main patio. Be sure to be aware of the costs associated with getting a table in advance, so that you're not breaking the bank unknowingly.

Bounce

Bounce is one of the few establishments in the Hamptons that actually stays open past midnight. Bounce is located right in Montauk and gives off your quintessential night club vibes, so if you're looking to party in the Hamptons, this is the place to go. Your group can drink cocktails and hit the dance floor until the wee hours of the morning - a rarity in the Hamptons!

Stephen Talkhouse

Stephen Talkhouse is a Hamptons classic, and has been around since the 70s. This live music venue is located right in Amagansett and features live bands and comedy performances. It's definitely more of a chill vibe than the Surf Lodge, but can still get pretty rowdy. Picture: a four person band singing early 2000's emo rock to a crowd ranging in ages from 21 - 60 years old. Honestly - there's something for everyone here!

Ruschmeyer's

Ruschmeyer's in Montauk is a perfect place to spend the evening with your girls. It's only a 15 minute walk from Navy Beach Restaurant, and has a fun, outdoor, laid back atmosphere where you can dance the evening away.

What to Wear in the Hamptons

Lucky for you, we recently launched our highly anticipated Hamptons Collection, featuring four new styles in a brand new, custom print, inspired by the blue hydrangeas of the Hamptons.
