What to wear in Nashville

Nashville Outfit Ideas for the Chic Girl Group

If you're heading to Nashville on a girls trip - whether it be for a bachelorette party or to just to bop around music city with your besties - then it's time to whip out those cowboy boots and channel your inner western vibe!

Cute and Classic Nashville Outfits

To be quite frank, Nashville is one of those cities where you can get away with any type of fashion. It's such a fun city full of people from all over North America, and everyone has a different style.

But, if you're looking for an excuse to wear the perfect, Western-inspired, instagram-photo worthy 'fit, then here are some Nashville outfit ideas for next weekend getaway.

For your Day Activities

One thing about Nashville is that it's a bit of a casual city.

Depending on the weather, you can get away with your favorite pair of jeans paired with a vintage-style tee or graphic tank, and some cute sneakers.

Accessories for your Nashville Outfits

Of course, you can't complete your Nashville outfits without the perfect pair of cowboy boots.

Our favorite ones are the Therapy Clayton Boots from Princess Polly (perfect for the short girlies - I have them in white and red and loved how both of them paired with all my outfits).

Pro-tip: be SURE to break in your cowboy boots before you head on your weekend getaway! You want to make sure you're comfortable while you're exploring the city.

If you want to accessorize your outfit with a cowboy hat and you don't already own one, in our opinion - it's best to buy one there!

Nashville has so many cute stores where you can shop, and the cowboy hat options are truly endless, and relatively more affordable.

For a Pool Party

We know - when you think of Nashville, you don't necessarily think "pool party." We're here to tell you that Nashville does in fact have one of the greatest pool parties out there, and you should definitely add it to your weekend itinerary - specifically, renting a cabana at the Virgin Hotel Nashville pool.

This was by far the most fun day that we had one our most recent trip to Nashville for Lauren's bachelorette party. Lauren wore the Kendall Bikini Top & Bottom in White, while her bridesmaids wore either the Kendall Tops & Bottoms in Black, or the Celine One Piece in Black.

Lauren gifted all of her bridesmaids these black pieces by utilizing the Bundle & Save option to save 20% on her entire order. Wearing matching bikinis to the pool party ensured that the entire bridal squad looked absolutely fire while we danced the day away.

Of course, we turned a few heads, but isn't that the goal?!

For Bopping Around Broadway

If you're headed to Broadway for a night on the town, don't be afraid to stand out.

It doesn't matter if you're wearing sequins or an outfit made of entirely fringe - anything goes in music city. So, here are some fun Nashville outfit ideas for your night out.

Theme: Disco Cowgirl

If there's one thing about Nashville, it's that you can most definitely get away with a good theme. Disco Cowgirl is one of our favs, because you basically get to combine your favorite piece of sequined clothing with western elements to complete your outfit - SO fun!

Theme: Denim and Diamonds

The name says it all. Grab your favorite pair of jean shorts, a sequined top, and a denim jacket, and you've got your outfit ready to go.

This theme is great for group trips because almost everyone will be able to wear pieces that they already had in their closet, without needing to shop for something new.

Pro Tip: unless you're headed to Nashville in the heart of summer, be sure to wear a jacket at night! If it's too warm, you can wear it tied around your shoulders or waist, but you're going to want to have it available!

Nashville Bachelorette FAQ's

Cowboy Boots - Are They A Necessity?

No - they're not, but they are a perfect addition to your Nashville outfit and really complete that cowgirl look.

They're casual enough to wear during the day, but can still be worn with a dress for your night outfit! At the end of the day, we love a versatile fashion piece.

Favorite restaurants to eat at?

For brunch, head to Sixty Vines - it's a wine bar with a big enough menu to ensure your whole group will find something they love to eat. For dinner, go to Pinewood Social.

Where should we stay?

Our favorite hotel in Nashville is the Virgin Hotel Nashville - it has a coffee shop on the ground floor, an amazing rooftop restaurant and pool, and is in a super central location. The rooms are also quite comfortable, so it's a great place to rest during your visit. We loved our time here, and would definitely stay here again on our next trip!

How should I style my pool party outfit?

Since you're in Nashville, your pool party outfits should give "coastal cowgirl" in the best way. Style the Kendall Bikini with the Selena Sarong in white, which has a girly fringe on the bottom, and a white cowboy hat.
